Every team in U-8 is required to provide 2 certified referees!
Home teams need to provide a referee, if your referee is unavailable click here to find a list of certified referees you can call to referee your game.
Every team in U-10 is required to provide 1 certified referee!
Referees will be scheduled by the referee coordinator.
Referees in U-12 and U-14 divisions are part of a pool and assigned to games by the region. Where possible, neutral assignments (unaffiliated with either team) are preferred, but referees doing their child’s games is still permitted. Regardless, each U-12/14 team is responsible for providing at least one certified Regional Referee (or higher) to the pool for proper team representation and credit.

REFEREE TRAINING
Course: Basic Referee Training for volunteers ref’ing U-10 and older games
Date: Saturday, Sep. 24, 2011, 8 am - 4:30 pm
Location: UNM Valencia Campus VCTC Room 101 (Vocational Career Technical Center)
Instructor: Dave Lauben and Steve Madrid (from Albuquerque)
Lunch will be provided.
For those volunteers only needing to referee U-8 games, an abbreviated U-8 Officials course will be offered. This training will be taught concurrently with the first part of the Basic Referee course (also starting at 8 am, but should only last until approx. 2:30 pm).
For Los Lunas region volunteers, a full uniform and set of referee equipment will be provided. Attendance of the full day of training, as well as the successful completion of the exam, are required before you can receive your uniform, Regional Referee badge and gear.
